Training for professionals

Our sessions for professionals are designed for individuals who work directly with children, young people, and families, including teachers, psychosocial teams, social workers, youth workers, and other frontline professionals. These sessions provide participants with up-to-date knowledge, practical tools, and increased confidence to address digital safety and online wellbeing within their professional roles. The focus is on real-life application, current digital trends, and effective responses to online risks, enabling professionals to better support the children and families they work with.

Sessions for Parents and Caregivers 

We provide informative and accessible sessions for parents and caregivers, including grandparents and guardians. These sessions focus on understanding the online environments children and adolescents use, recognising potential risks, and learning practical strategies to support healthy and safe digital habits at home. Content is delivered in a clear, non-judgemental way and encourages open communication between adults and children. 

Sessions for Children and Young People 

We deliver age-appropriate sessions for children and young people across all educational levels, including primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Sessions are adapted to the developmental stage of each group and cover topics such as online safety, digital wellbeing, responsible online behaviour, and recognising and responding to online risks. Sessions are interactive and designed to encourage critical thinking, awareness, and self-protection.

Community Based Sessions

Our sessions also extend to wider community groups, including older adults and grandparents. These sessions aim to increase digital awareness, reduce vulnerability to online harm, and support intergenerational understanding of technology use. Content is adapted to the needs and experience levels of each group, ensuring sessions remain relevant and accessible. 

Award in Children and Adolescent Online Wellbeing 

We offer an accredited course through the Institute of Further Education (IFE), providing participants with recognised certification. This course delivers in-depth training on digital safety and online wellbeing, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. It is suitable for professionals and individuals seeking formal recognition in this area.

As part of the S.A.F.E. programme, BeSmartOnline! in collaboration with Agenzija Sedqa offers workplace awareness sessions focused the wise use of technology. These sessions are designed for diverse workplace audiences and delivered through preventive interventions that build greater understanding of digital wellbeing, online risks, and healthy technology use within professional environments

COPE days 

As part of Teachers’ Cope Days, BeSmartOnline! delivers tailored sessions that support educators in navigating the digital challenges affecting both their professional and personal lives. These sessions focus on online safety trends, student digital behaviours, boundary-setting in digital communication, and strategies for maintaining digital wellbeing. The aim is to equip teachers with practical tools and increased confidence to manage technology-related concerns while promoting a safer and healthier digital environment within their schools.
