For Safer Internet Day 2026, our Youth Panel took the lead in promoting safer, more responsible online behaviour by creating a series of impactful short videos focused on digital wellbeing and online safety.
These videos were shared with all schools across Malta and Gozo as part of our national Safer Internet Day activities. We are now pleased to announce that they are publicly available on our YouTube channel for everyone to watch and share.
Young People Leading the Conversation on Online Safety
The internet plays a crucial role in the lives of children and young people today. From learning and entertainment to communication and creativity, digital spaces offer incredible opportunities. But it also comes with challenges.
What makes this initiative particularly meaningful is that the message comes directly from young people themselves.
Our Youth Panel members created these videos to:
Encourage safer and more respectful online behaviour
Raise awareness about common online risks
Promote digital responsibility and critical thinking
Support schools in ongoing digital literacy education
Empower peers to speak up and seek support when needed
By allowing young voices to lead, the message becomes more relatable, authentic, and impactful.

We invite students, educators, parents, and the wider community to view and share the videos:
Each video addresses important aspects of online safety and digital wellbeing, encouraging reflection and positive online habits.
Supporting Digital Education in Malta and Gozo
As part of our commitment to promoting online safety in Malta, these resources were designed to complement school discussions and Safer Internet Day classroom activities.
We extend our sincere thanks to our Youth Panel members for their dedication, creativity, and leadership in this initiative. Their contribution helps strengthen the conversation around digital citizenship and responsible internet use across Malta and Gozo.
Together, we can continue building a safer, kinder, and more positive digital environment for all.
