What is ChildWebAlert?
ChildWebAlert provides a way for people in Malta to report suspected child sexual abuse material found online.
The service is offered by Aġenzija Appoġġ, within the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS), and forms part of BeSmartOnline, Malta's Safer Internet Centre.
Its work contributes to efforts to reduce the availability of child sexual abuse material online and protect children from further victimisation.
Can I make a report anonymously?
Yes. Reports to ChildWebAlert can be made anonymously.
ChildWebAlert explains that people reporting suspected material are not required to provide their personal details. What is important is providing information that can help identify where the suspected content was encountered online, such as the relevant URL.
